Vox began each performance with an ensemble piece to set the theme for the show. We researched books and met for months to write, and we collaborated on these group pieces, often with someone taking the lead. My writing tended to be more political, more serious. I wrote these pieces, and then the rest of the tribe helped to make them funnier.
